KFS Los Angeles now a Customs designated CFS

As of November 1st, KFS is proud to announce that our Los Angeles branch office, located in Carson, CA, is a designated Customs bonded Container Freight Station (CFS).

As a CFS, we are able to receive cargo that has not yet cleared Customs and move it to any of our inland gateways. We are most excited about the opportunities this presents for our El Paso branch, because we can now move cargo from Los Angeles across the country in-bond for export to Mexico without clients having to pay duties and taxes in the United States.

All of our branches will be able to receive benefits from this CFS status because we will be able to move cargo in-bond from Los Angeles to our other regional centers in Chicago and Dallas.

KFS El Paso branch will be able to receive cargo in bond from Los Angeles for exportation without paying American duties or taxes.
